Christmas is being celebrated in a special way in the Memorial Water Garden in Windsor Park.
Let us remember that the Christmas heart is a giving heart, a wide open heart that thinks of others first. -George Matthew Adams
A nine year old white pine stands ten feet above the water pond. It is surrounded by 40 angels who are decked out in red ribbons for the holiday season.

The tree was chosen after much deliberation from the selection at Edwards Garden Center in Forty Fort, Pennsylvania, and that’s where this week’s episode of The New Windsor Park Stories gets started.
Ed Kopec explains to Kitch Mussari the care involved in having a tree with a root ball. He talks about how to take care of it before it goes into the ground and what to do when the holiday is over and it’s ready to be planted.
Ed shared many valuable tips that will guarantee the new tree a long life after the lights and ornaments are packed away for another year.
The staff at the garden center loaded up the white pine tree and transported it to Windsor Park as producer Tony Mussari followed and recorded the journey.
The holiday spirit kicks in on the ride as viewers listen to a wonderful Christmas song played by the Repasz Band from Williamsport.

When it finally reaches its new home, the tree is secured and well mulched in a place surrounded by the angels who symbolize the passengers on Flight 93 who died when their plane went down in Shanksville, Pennsylvania, on September 11, 2001.
It’s as if the tree belongs there. Our dear friends, the Zikor’s, help us put the lights, the bright red and gold bows and colorful ornaments on a beautiful sunny day after Thanksgiving. Ralph Hahn who was visiting from Florida joined the decorating party. His mother, Shirley, suggested that each angel get a red ribbon so they would be part of the holiday.
The program ends with musical selections performed by the celebrated Repasz Band and the marvelous College Misericordia Choral Society.
Shots of Christmas displays in Berwick and Scranton add a special touch of the season to the music.
The poetry of the Repasz Band and the majesty of the Misericordia singers will lift the spirits of anyone who sees this episode. It is guaranteed to put viewers in the spirit of the season.
